New Year, New Central

New+Year%2C+New+Central

Happening almost in the blink of an eye, summer has slipped away and Rich Central has re-opened its doors to the eager minds of its students. Whether we like it or not, the 2016 – 2017 school year has started, and it’s not stopping or slowing for any summer stragglers. Between new lunches and new students, it is safe to say that school has gone through some very noticeable summer changes; more than a few teachers have left the building, some who weren’t around as much are here full-time, the sophomore hallway has blue borders around it, and the freshmen hallway has some new decal work, showing off some much needed school spirit.

Overall, the change in school pride seems to be having a positive effect on the students, as we’ve completed our couple of weeks back without any major problems, save for a few scheduling issues.

Senior Chris Jackson says, “It feels cool to be a senior. Coming back to school felt cool, but I’m only really excited for homecoming, prom, and graduation.”

Those dates are as follows; October 1, May 6, May 21.

It is safe to assume that those are the three dates seniors are most excited about, though that may change as the year goes on.
