I can’t believe it’s over.

All the memories,

All the practices,

And, the best of it all,

All the Friday night lights.

High school leaves you with a bitter sweet feeling.

You’re ready to start the new

but not ready to end the old.

The people you grew up with all leaving

and going their separate ways,

But, in the end, that’s life and you can’t sit

and always think about those high school days.

You must keep going on

And keep those thoughts in the back

And look to the future

And focus on you

And just secure the bag.

But while we still have time,

let’s not leave them behind.

Because once they’re gone, they’re gone

and you’ll eventually have to kiss it so long.
