This past weekend our Raptor competitive Poms team showed a very commendable effort in the highly competitive 3A Sectional at Fieldcrest High School in Minonk, Illinois.

Although the season came to an end, the ladies surely went out with a bang.  The team scored a season high of 80.0, and missed qualifying for state by only 1.5 points.  The super six team is made up of TaQuoya Walker, Nayi Osunbor, Jaden Williams, JCarla Harris, Journey Marsh and Tayla Mustiful.

The ladies have so much to be proud of.  Overall, this season, they completed four times, and earned two 1st place trophies, and one 3rd place.  Earning any kind of hardware in the 3A division is quite the achievement.  According to senior captain JCarla Harris, “We had an amazing season, it was a joy ride- walking away with three trophies really showed how dedicated we ALL were.  Nothing but smiles and hard work this season, and we loved every moment.”

Through their hard work, dedication and determination, Rich Township Poms has certainly made a name for themselves amongst the competition.  Look for them to be state bound in 2023!
